Pick your own strawberries not far from Tokyo!

If you're looking for a fun weekend activity (especially with little ones!) then Hoya Fruit Farm in Saitama is a great spot to visit. Depending on the time of year there are various different fruits you can pick, including strawberries, nashi, and grapes. Our family is all about the strawberry picking and try to do it at least annually when they're in season, and this is one of our favorite spots to do so. The adult price is 1500 yen for 30 minutes of all you can eat strawberries, so come with an empty stomach! The strawberries are delicious and you'll likely manage to get far more than 1500 yen worth of eats in that time! If you want to make a day of it, some other spots in the surrounding area include the Mitsui Outlet Park (loads of Japanese and international brands at discounted prices) and the Moomin Park which is a hit with every child I've met!
