Decent enough Starbucks in the center of Nagasaki
This branch of Starbucks in Nagasaki has a good central location on Harasume-Dori. The store sits on the edge of Nagasaki's main shopping area, Hamano-Machi making it a good spot to rest legs weary of lugging all of that shopping around. As far as its location goes in relation to sightseeing, this Starbucks is about a 5-min walk from Chinatown and around a 20-min walk from the Dutch Slope. The store itself is unspectacular, but it's quite airy and spacious. Some of the tables have access to plug sockets from which to charge portably devices. Counter seating fronts the store's large window giving good street views and plenty of opportunity for people watching. Seating around the corner of the service counter, towards the toilets, will afford more privacy. At the time of visiting a lot of people seemed to have come to this Starbucks to sit down and get some work done. That said though, this branch looks like it might attract a broad spectrum of people from / visiting Nagasaki. Service was nice and friendly (as it seems to be everywhere in Nagasaki) and it was easy to get a seat (something which is hard to say about Starbucks in Tokyo). Nearest Streetcar stops for this Nagasaki Starbucks are Nishihamano Machi and Kanko-Dori. While the location is a practical one, it's not exactly a pretty one. Also, the Hamano-Machi area is not particularly close to JR Nagasaki Station (around at 20 - 30 min walk away) so this Starbucks isn't convenient for rail travellers. Hours: 7:30 - 22:00
