Hemulin's Playground

Moomin themed playground

Hemulin's playground is in the Lonely Mountain area of the Moomin theme park Moominvalley Park in Hanno, Saitama. It is designed like a tree house with climbing and slides and other adventures for kids. You have to pay into the theme park, but there is no extra charge to use the playground. It looks so impressive and it is really fun for the kids, but already - after just three months - there is broken equipment in the tree house and areas have been sealed off so that nobody can enter. But there is still plenty for kids to play with for about an hour, maybe two. Great shade in the area and its on a hill beside Miyazawa lake so its a bit cooler than the central area of the park in the summer. There are toilets right beside it and a small kiosk selling Moomin goods.
