Matsue Station

If you're headed to Matsue I highly recommend basing your stay around Matsue Station. I stayed at a hotel just across the road so I was at the station frequently, and there are plenty of great amenities including shopping, restaurants, and a fantastic tourist info center out the front. The station is also the starting point for the Loopline bus, a super economical way of getting around the city - it stops at most of Matsue's major tourist spots! A great station for travelers to the area.
