Closed permanently during the pandemic
Unfortunately, this excellent free children's play center in Higashimatsuyama City, closed permanently during the pandemic. I only noticed it was around 2024, because my children are too old for play centers now. It is still owned by the same company, a real estate / property rental company, but it seems to be just a regular office now and there is no longer anything special there.

Free play area in an Estate Agents
This is a fantastic FREE play area inside an estate agents. It is 100% free to use with no strings attached. However, they do request on a busy day that you cap your visit to one hour. When it is not busy you can stay as long as you want. They also have a condition that only children under 7 years of age use the facilities. The play area is wide and airy with the ceiling painted like the sky. The equipment includes a large air trampoline and three zorbs, play kitchen, play shopping, wooden train tracks, colouring table to name but a few. There is a "baby station" area with changing mat. If you come by car the you have to use coin parking. However it is reasonably priced at 100 yen for 40 minutes, and capped at 500 yen maximum payment for a full day.
