Yahiko Ropeway

Incredible views out across the region

If you're looking for a place to get some phenomenal views out over Niigata which extend to the Sea of Japan and Sado Island (on clear days), head to the Yahiko Ropeway. An adult round trip is 1500 yen, and you catch the ropeway from behind the Yahiko Shrine area -- it's about 10 minutes on foot from the shrine to the ropeway station.
