Proper Sushi at Fancy Prices
Widely known as the best sushi place in Shiogama, a town that is rife with sushi restaurants. I don't know if it qualifies as the "best" but it is my husband's favorite so I took him there for his birthday. prepared to spend around $200 on one meal. Our total for two adults and one squeamish kid only came to $130ish, so that was more reasonable than expected. The way they cut the fresh maguro tuna is different from Shirahata sushi which is just down the street and about 20% cheaper and of the two, I prefer the other place on that topic. I also admit freely that I am not big on sushi and the texture of raw fish isn't usually for me. The cucumber rolls my daughter had were lovely though and my husband still absolutely loves the place.
