Shinshuku Fureai Park

Small park with nice playground

Shinshuku Fureai Park is a small park in rural Kamikawa town, Northern Saitama. It is relatively near the Kanasana Shrine. The park has a nice playground for families. It has some unusual equipment such as a merry-go-round, where kids push in a circle and jump on and spin around and around! There are toilets, but amazingly no vending machines. I was quite surprised as there is no shop nearby. There is a drinking water fountain. The other unusual thing about this park is they allow people practice (short distance) lobbing golf balls. They even have nets for catching the balls. There is a large open space too for kids to kick a ball around. Free parking.
