    Elegant Kamihanawa Historical House

The Takanashi family residence in Noda City has many elements dating from the Edo Period, but with some Taisho Period spaces and decor inside. Admission to the garden only is Y500, and it's great for photography in all seasons, with a variety of landscapes, stone features, shrine buildings and tea house. Admission to the house, Y1500, includes a one hour tour and tea. The Takanashi family spared no expense on interior features and finishings. It's a stunning example of Edo to Taisho Period architecture and design. Information pamphlets explaining the history and features of the gardens are available in English and Japanese.
