A school fit for a prince
At Boso no Mura, the experiential museum in Chiba, there is a historical transplant. The main hall of Gakushuin Elementary School, established in 1899, was relocated to this idylic landscape in 1975. Gakushuin, located in Shinjuku, is one of the culturally and historically significant elementary schools in Japan. The school's alumni include emperors, empresses, artists, writers, and politicians. I recommend putting on some slippers, squeezing yourself into a lecture desk, and imagining what it was like to receive a lesson here.
