One-man operation, excellent coffee, sweets, and pasta
Outside of Minami-Sakurai Station in Kasukabe City, there is a shotengai, but not many casual places for coffee or a meal. Itsudemo Hohoemi wo is a small cafe restaurant on the north side of the station where I had a business meeting over coffee. Google Maps reviews indicate some visitors to the nearby "underground temple", Metropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel, find this place a good pit-stop. The restaurant is a solo operation, and the master knows his coffee. I ordered a Colombian that was carefully brewed and served in an insulated flask with attractive tableware. The coffee was smooth, lightly bitter, and even a little chocolately. The master also serves desserts and pasta. Maybe don't bring a crowd here. There are only five tables and counter seating, and just the smiling master, both cooking and serving.
