Instagrammable historic shrine... with peacocks!
Peacocks are not that common in Saitama Prefecture, so when I heard about the 'peacock shrine' a few years ago I just had to go! Unfortunately, since the pandemic the peacocks no longer roam freely they once did, but all sorts of other fowl do! But apart from the peacocks the shrine has a lot to offer. Including some really beautiful 'goshuin' shrine stamps. Moreover, in summer they have wind chimes up on the precincts.
