    Great fishing spot

Lake Kitaura is a large lake parallel to the more famous Lake Kasumigaura, in the Kashima area of Ibaraki. Actually, due to the size of the lake, it extends across many cities or towns. To be honest, the body of water in this photo is probably officially Wani River, which runs from the lake to Lake Sotonasakura, taken as we drove by. Because we actually visited Lake Kitaura at night, so the photos didn't turn out great. My son has also fished in Lake Kitaura by day too, but thinks you can catch more fish, particularly catfish, by night. The lake is very scenic, particularly on the Kashima side because there are several quaint bridges over it.
