Soba and more with calming views

Asahiyama Hotaruan is a restaurant in the Nagaoka area of Niigata which serves up delicious soba with beautiful natural surroundings. They also have great tempura, plus smaller side dish sized plates of things like tofu and katsu. The restaurant hours are fairly limited though (11am until 5.30pm) so make sure you visit early, especially if you're expecting a dinner meal.
