I Love Abura-soba
As the title says, I love abura-soba. Mixing noodles with sauces and topped with plenty of delicious toppings, if you are not in the mood for soupy noodles, then this is a great choice. Tokyo abura-soba is one of the biggest chains you can find in the city, and I find their flavours to be on the mild side but the greasiness to be on the rich side. That balance is good for some but not everyone. However, they are great value as you will get a huge bowl of noodles for under 1000 yen for sure. A great place to go for your first abura soba experience.

Chili oil for your Soba
Instead of common way of serving soba with soup broth, Abura Soba is prepared with Chili oil. At first, I wasn't sure what it's going to taste like, but to my surprise, it was mouth-watering. When I got my order, the soba was topped with various toppings such as meat, poach egg, green onion and some vegetable strips. The miso chili oil went really well with the thick and firm noodles. 860 yen isn't bad for a good portion of noodle dish. For my next cheat day, I will definitely drop by At Tokyo Abura Soba Shibuya branch. It's a short walk from Shibuya station.
