A lake with no water!
Kamakita Lake is a popular place for fishing, cherry blossom viewing and autumn leaves due to the picturesque scenery. However, the lake is currently drained and will remain so until January 2021. So if you want to see what a lake looks like without any water, now is your chance! Even without any water in the lake you can tell how beautiful the lake normally is with the stunning mature natural landscape surrounding it. There are also two gold buildings perched on the edge of the lake enhancing the photogenic value of it. However, if you look at both up close they are very dated buildings in state of disrepair! Thankfully, that doesn't show in landscape photos. There are several free car parks around the lake. There are a couple of toilets too. In the car park for the Shikisainooka Park beside the lake there are vending machines.
