Miho no Matsubara

Nice beachside area in Shizuoka

One of the prettiest beaches I've visited here is Miho no Matsubara in Shizuoka, which is famous as a scenic spot. The beachfront is lined with palm trees, and the beach has black sand – it's beautiful to look at. On clear days you can see Mount Fuji from here, but we weren't lucky enough for that on our visit since it was the middle of summer. I'd like to come back sometime in winter when there's more chance of seeing the mountain.
