Roadside Station Arakawa

Countryside rest area with activities

Roadside station Arakawa is near the Ara river, but actually not on it nor is it visible from the resort. Not that it matters - I always just assumed it was on / beside the river due to its name! It is a medium sized roadside station with everything you need for a rest on a road trip. It also has several attractions that make it more than just a rest or service area. For example, there are several fruit picking areas at and around the area. You can pick blueberries right by the main restaurant and shopping building. There is a little nature museum in the main building as well. There is also a play area on the grounds. And there are two hot springs too. Its quite a popular spot so the two car parks get quite full. There are plenty of clean toilets. There are 24 hour vending machines and a smoking area.
