Yamadaien (山大園本店)

FROM THE SHOP

Fuji City’s “Town Station (まちの駅 / Machi no Eki) enjoys another name -- “the tea restroom,” a railway teahouse where tea can be enjoyed in an atmosphere abundant in creative energy and ingenuity.

Spanning the a number of eras, visitors to our Town Station can take a seat on a wooden pillar from the Meiji era while browsing through an album of images from the Taisho era.  A Showa-era model railway and teahouse round off a space that sparks interest and surprise in those who visit us, and is particularly popular with families and visitors from overseas.

Our Town Station also a place to relax and feel comfortable as you look at our collection of rare teapots, get a feel for old items, listen to healing music, and enjoy the fragrance of tea. This is a space that has something for all five senses.

So, enjoy the healthy life and stop by our Shizuoka Chaya for hospitality, tea, and Mt. Fuji.
