Raincoat recommendations?

I feel like rainy season will be here before we all know it, and was wondering if you have any favorite brands for raincoats. I need a couple for my kids (they've outgrown ones that relatives sent us when they were younger) and to be honest I probably should actually get one for myself, too. Sometimes just an umbrella doesn't cut it! Let me know if you have any favorites!

I'm looking for one too. I used to have a lightweight rain jacket from Columbia Sportswear but the lining fell apart. I feel like they are either cheap 'kappa' type low quality pullovers or high end oversized sportswear brands in really strange colors. It is already raining a ton here this spring in Kansai.

Did you figure something out? With the strange early fall rain, I got a parka style rain jacket at Mont Bell recently. It was just convenient as one of the sportswear type stores nearby. They have good water resistant options for kids and adults. Also tags are in English and Japanese, which makes things simpler. (I'm only 157cm tall, so I actually went with a kids 160cm size because adult size rain jackets fit me all wrong.)

How do you feel about nuclear power?

This week, the mayor of Niigata officially approved the restarting of a nuclear power plant in Kashiwazaki. My home country doesn't use nuclear power, so it makes me a bit uneasy. How do you feel about it? Would you be comfortable with a nuclear power plant operating in your prefecture?

Your favourite wordplay, pun, or palindrome in Japanese

BigfamJapan blogged about a day for palindromes, and I had a good chuckle. I love wordplay in Japanese! What's your favourite pun, palindrome, or spoonerism (a phrase that gets mangled into another meaning when you switch syllables). For reference, I cracked up when a coworker said "Naiyo ga nai yo" on finding an empty sweets packet.
