Linking amazon accounts?

Hello! I was wondering if it was possible to link a Japanese amazon account with my home country's. Has anyone tried it? I ask this question because I would like to take advantage of the prime membership in my country as well (mainly for watching prime videos).

    The last time I looked into it, the two seem to work separately, and there are different licensing deals with videos so that some shows are made available only to certain countries, which makes me doubt the possibility of them opening up one country's prime video collection to those in a different country. One way to get around it would be to get a VPN service so that you could access the prime content of your home country here, but that would also be an extra cost.

    For my home country (Germany) that is not possible. I have two separate accounts on amazon, one for Japan and one for my home country and these two cant be linked. If I wanted to watch Prime Videos that are only available in Germany I would have to sign up for prime membership on amazon Germany.

    Thank you both for your answers! I'm from Germany as well and miss watching movies in German so that was my main motivation. Too bad it's not possible.

    I've tried connecting my US prime account with my Japan one but that didn't work. They work independently, unfortunately.

    Wish they'd make it universal so you could even use your Amazon balance on one account on any other Amazon country account. It'd be nice to be able to use my JP gift balance to buy things for bdays/events for family and friends in other countries!

Fears in Japan that you didn't have in your home country?

I've written a number of blogs here on City-Cost about how bears are a real worry in my area these days, and it's something that I didn't have to concern myself with in my home country. I know people talk about snakes and spiders in Australia being deadly (and yes, there are some types that are), but they're not typically going to come and attack you unprovoked. Also, it's a lot easier to outrun a snake or a spider than a bear ;) I'm curious about the rest of you, if you have fears here that maybe weren't present in your country of origin. Christmas - shopping, meals, etc. - how are we faring?

I saw a press release this morning from FamilyMart, which promoted their festive season eats but also covered a survey about spending. The survey mentioned most people planning to celebrate Christmas at home aim to spend less than 5,000 yen on food. How does your budget look in comparison to that? Do you go all out for Christmas here if it was something you celebrated in your home country, or is it a quieter celebration owing to it not being an official holiday here? How about Christmas shopping? Have you got strict budgets in place, and have you completed your shopping or are you still looking for bits and pieces for people?

From October to February, the Diamond Fuji phenomenon is visible for a few days. Have you seen this sight before? Where did you watch it from? Is it close to transportation?
