Protein Bars

What is your go-to protein bar (locally available) for preventing meltdowns when you're too busy for a proper meal? (A taste test will happen after more samples and data are collected.)

My local Family Mart started selling Kind Bars. They are a bit expensive, but they are my favorite.

I've tried the "in Bar" brand that you can get at most convenience stores. Taste is okay, protein is about 10 grams for a smallish sized bar, so it's decent!

I like the protein bars from Asahi. They have 15g protein per bar and not as many carbs as other bars.

I will keep an eye out for inBar and Asahi protein bars. I've tried a couple by Asahi, but not one with that much protein. Kind was my favorite back home too, so I'll see if there's anywhere nearby that sells them. We don't have many Famima around here.

I favor "my protein". I haven't seen it in stores yet, but you can order them online. Everything I've tried so far was delicious!

I have only shared stuff with my friends who buy boxes from Costco. Things in Japan are nice, but I got for these bars to deal with homesickness as much as dealing with hunger lol

I tried one of the Asahi protein bars and the in Protein Bar, and wasn't into either of them... anyway good to know. Costco is a good option for something like Kind bars, that I know I like, but I don't live near a Costco. I did try one of their many protein bars sold in Japan and it was definitely nostalgic - reminded me of the Power Bar. I think flavor and texture has been the biggest issue for me, maybe more important than the amount of protein and vitamins.

@helloalissa I agree that the ones here aren't as good as others...one I loved in the States were Quest bars, they are available on iHerb if you order from there. Not the same as locally, I know, but worth it if you want to try something different. I will say that some quest bars are better than others (some have that stevia kind of aftertaste).

Job-related platforms that get you attention?

I'm on LinkedIn and get some positive attention from employers. I'm also on Hello Sensei, a platform for English tutoring. Occasionally, I get bites from employers. I get that we, City Cost correspondents, are in different fields. But which outlets do you use to broaden you employement prospects?

Which prefecture do you think is the most attractive?

I posted this morning about the recently released Prefectural Attractiveness Rankings. Obviously there's an element of subjectivity to this, because what one person deems attractive can be very different to someone else's opinion of it. Hokkaido was ranked the most attractive prefecture in Japan, but the full list can be found below (image source is the article here: https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/39c11474715641625a5720b86bc9b72dfe59e4cd). Of the prefectures you've visited, which would you say is the most attractive, and why would you rate it that way?
