What are / were the higanbana like in your area this year?

This year I am out of Japan for Higanbana season. I was wondering, what were the higanbana like this year in your area? Did they bloom early, late or 'on time'? Where they in good condition this year? Thank you

We don't really have any big places that have sprawling fields of higanbana out here, unfortunately, so it's pretty limited to little clusters at shrines and temples. I saw a few at a temple in Nagaoka, but that's about it!

On my Friday morning train commute, I spied higanbana blooming. It looks like they peaked last week along the Edo, Naka, and Furutone Rivers in Saitama Prefecture.

If you were the PM of Japan, how would you positively change work-life balance here?

My recent blog about Sanae Takaichi's promise that "I will work, work, work, work and work" sending the wrong message to Japanese society got me thinking. If you were the PM of Japan, how would you positively change work-life balance here?
