The first one that comes to mind for me is Nagi Maehashi, who is a cookbook author and very much an Australian icon. Some City-Cost members might know her from the Recipe Tin Eats website! I'm a big tennis fan and there is also an Australian tennis player with Japanese roots by the name of Rinky Hijikata. He's most successful on the doubles circuit and actually won the Australian Open in doubles a couple of years ago.

@BigfamJapan Before I came to Japan, I read many of his English-language works. Have you ventured to Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, where he lived? There's a heritage house there to remember him.

@TonetoEdo I don't know about actors, but there's a young rapper called Harvey who is Australian-Japanese. I think she's better known among young people though than people my age!
