What do you most associate with Yamanashi?

Today, November 20th, is Yamanashi Prefecture Day. So... when I say "Yamanashi Prefecture" what first comes to mind? I love reading people's answers to these type of questions! It's very interesting how sometimes we all think of something different, and sometimes the same! About Yamanashi Prefecture day; https://www.city-cost.com/blogs/BigfamJapan/GB7VA-living_yamanashi

The first thing that came to mind for me was definitely Mount Fuji! In close second was peaches and grapes, since I know Yamanashi produces a lot of them. One of my favorite travel memories here is from a ryokan in Yamanashi called Konansou. It has really incredible views of Mount Fuji and the food was excellent, too!

Grapes and wine. A coworker brought back a box of Shine Muscat grapes from her hometown there. The grapes are huge and flavourful.

@TonetoEdo I don't think I've tried any Yamanashi wine, but I can definitely see how they'd produce some good stuff since their grapes are top notch.

@genkidesu I'm starting to warm up to Japanese wine varieties and look out for Yamanashi wines. Here's some info from Yamanashi Prefecture - https://www.pref.yamanashi.jp/bishubiken/en/wine.html

@TonetoEdo 90 wineries in the region! I had no idea how big the scale of their wine production was.

@genkidesu I've tried a few low-priced wines produced in Japan. They're super-fruity. I'll see if there are any Yamanashi wines at my local and review them.

Fruit...nashi in particular. Even in west Japan a lot of the fruit is from there.

Is there a limit on daily posts?

Does anyone know if there is a limit on the number of posts we can publish each day? The reason I ask is, yesterday I wrote more than 30 posts, but I realized last night that at least the last two I wrote, have disappeared. They definitely published, but then disappeared a few minutes later. One was about a Santa in Nagoya, the other about Santa in Tamadairanomori. There maybe more but those two are definitely missing.

Where do you visit Santa Claus?

Firstly, do you visit Santa Claus each year in Japan? And if so, where? I've been posting places you can meet Santa Claus in various parts of Japan on the blog section. If you are looking for somewhere to meet him this year, you'll find at least 25 places on City-cost.

I am in the market for a new power bank, preferably one with a large capacity and features such as a built in LED light and multiple outputs for charging devices. Have you any recommendations for a good power bank?

Did you feel the December 8th earthquake?

There was a large earthquake off the coast of Aomori Prefecture at 11.15 pm on December 8th 2025. We are approximately 700 kilometers from the epicenter, yet we felt it very strongly. Did you feel it and how far away (roughly) are you from the epicenter?
