Sanrio character treats
The pastel cuteness of the Sanrio Truck at Yokohama's Kamiooka Station is eye-catching. The mobile eatery is plastered with the entire lineup of Sanrio characters, both new and old. Outside of the truck, plush versions of the characters try to draw customers in. Though the menu isn't extensive, it's perfectly fitting for a food truck that banks on cuteness. Standard cafe fare, including hot and iced coffee and flavored drinks, as well as less traditional food truck offerings, like crepes, are on the menu. For those looking for something more Sanrio, there are character parfaits, each flavored to match the essence of a character. The prices aren't too outrageous, especially when considering that this is a mini themed cafe. Coffee is as cheap as 300 yen, beating out the prices of a lot of coffee chains. Crepes start at 500 yen, which are cheaper than Harajuku creperies. And the character parfaits are all 600 yen, a steal if you compare it to a dish at a sit-down themed cafe. The mobile cafe rolls in from 11 AM to 6 PM outside of Kamiooka Station. It seems to only appear on weekends, so those of you commuting for work through here may miss it.
