The first 100yen shop that welcomed me to Japan

Ageo was my first landing spot in Japan, and I remember how this particular Daiso branch helped me survive my new life and provided me everything I needed (at cheap prices). As another reviewer has pointed out, it is not the biggest one available, but it is kept tidy and clean with things easy to find. What I also appreciate is how free the store feels as customers browse around the shore thanks to its openness. The staffs there are also great at their job, working fast while consistently having great manners. Having this Daiso in a local mall that has everything you need also helps.

One of the largest 100 yen stores in the area

Like the mall it belongs to, the Daiso in Papa Ageo is really old fashioned and out-dated. It looks like it was designed and built at least 20 years ago. However, the choice of goods far makes up for the lack of aesthetics in the store! The size of the store isn't as big as others I have seen, but the difference is that they really use the space to pack in as many goods as possible. With the result the selection of goods is incredible, but the aisles are really narrow and some of the goods are very high up and hard to reach. You would find it difficult to use a wide type stroller or wheelchair in this store. They have absolutely anything and everything you can think of that can be bought for a 100 yen in every conceivable category. The store opens from 10 am to 8 pm seven days a week. Parking is shared with Papa Ageo Shopping Avenue.
