The gardens alone make it a worthwhile visit
If you're in Tokyo, perhaps visiting Harajuku or Omotesando and you need a break from the hustle and bustle, Nezu Museum is a fascinating and tranquil spot to visit. It's situated just a short walk from the Omotesando Tokyo Metro Station, and has a bunch of both Japanese and other Asian art on display.
The art is certainly fascinating, but my favorite part of the museum here is the beautiful gardens that you can enjoy. The best time of year to visit is when the irises are in bloom (in my opinion, anyway!) which is around May/June, but they are beautiful year round. There's also a gift shop on site and a cafe, if you'd like to enjoy a piece of cake and a coffee perhaps (they have more hearty meal options too, if you'd like a full lunch).
Adult admission to Nezu Museum will set you back 1000 yen, and just bear in mind that like a lot of museums in Japan, they are closed on Mondays.
