Super cute eats in the Daikanyama area

If you're like me and you love Japan for the "all things cute" aspect, then this place in Daikanyama needs to be a must visit for you. It's called Mr. Friendly, and their specialty here is hot cakes and soft serve ice cream. Not just any hot cakes though - they're shaped like little "Mr Friendly" people! The prices here are actually rather reasonable too. The plate of 18 little Mr Friendly hotcakes is just under 700 yen - not a bad deal, and the amount is perfect to share with a friend. Each Mr Friendly hotcake is pretty small, so you're completely allowed to indulge in a few. As well as their 'standard' hot cake flavor, they often have seasonal varieties too - over summer they had a pineapple and coconut flavor of them, which was perfectly tropical and right for the season. If you're in Daikanyama or the Tokyo area, this spot is a fun one to stop at. Just bear in mind though that it is hot cakes, soft serve and drinks here - no main meals - so if you're hungry for savory food rather than sweets you'll be out of luck.
