Sweets and pizza - with some amazing seasonal specialities

Uonuma Sweets Garden is a bit of a weird mix - but a tasty one. The store is part Italian restaurant, and part sweet shop. The Italian restaurant side of things sells wood fire oven pizzas, pastas and the like, but I'd probably say that the sweets side of things are where this place really shines...perhaps that's why they're called Uonuma Sweets Garden. They have a host of cakes, cookies and regular sweets, but most people I know come here for the seasonal specialty "darake"...basically it's a giant parfait (about 25cm in height) that consists of a flavored pudding, ice cream, and fruit. This month's specialty is mango, and the sweet consists of mango flavored pudding, two types of fresh mango and mango ice cream. Insane and definitely one to share...they are huge! They also have a host of kakigori on offer right now during the warmer months too.
