Casual diner, cheap eats

Sometimes you just need a quick and filling meal in a place that has a homey atmosphere. Tsukijiya, a Shakudo in front of Kasukabe Station west exit, is convenient and the service is good. The photo menu makes ordering easy if you’re not quite literate yet (and perhaps an opportunity to learn some kanji). While you dine, you can watch tv on the two big screens. It’s usually quiet in the early evening, and school students don’t frequent Tsukijiya because it doubles as an izakaya.
