    Great coffee and take-home items

Sarutahiko Coffee, as the previous reviewer mentioned, isn't a Tokyo hidden gem anymore -- but it's still a great spot to get your caffeine fix. Along with the coffee made on-site, they also have a good range of take home products including drip coffee bags and ground coffee. They make nice gifts for people, or just to enjoy yourself.

    Awesome Espresso in Ebisu

I've long searched for a perfect cafe in Tokyo, and Sarutahiko definitely comes the closest. Very firm in its Japanese roots and serious about making amazing espresso, the cafe really shows what some Japanese businesses can do when they actually try. They always seem to offer a single origin espresso option which complements their solid chocolates blend very well, offering a great deal of variety in a small shop. Their bean shop is also nearby and has samples of almost all the beans they sell so you know exactly what you're getting into. They're also open really late (12:30am I believe) and feature a stamp cards that rewards your loyalty with a free drink. The only downside is that the place is no longer a secret and gets packed on weekends and other busy times quite quickly. Still, for the experience, it's hard to beat.
