Cool place to stay in Tokyo

I had a couple of appointments in Tokyo recently and decided to stay overnight. I stayed at the Hoshino Resorts OMO5 hotel in Otsuka, and I was really impressed by the fun rooms and service. The rooms are set up loft style, so there's a sitting area with cushions underneath, and you climb some stairs to get to the bedding area. It's a clever use of space and even though the rooms weren't super large, you never felt cramped because of the smart layout. Check in and out is really easy - you use an automated machine where you just scan a QR code from your reservation and it does the work for you and dispenses your room key card. There's a staff member on hand though if you do need help. I hadn't visited the Otsuka area of Tokyo before, but I really enjoyed it. It's less hectic than other areas, which I really appreciated, and there are some terrific places to eat. The only downside was it is a little noisy, there is a tram line that runs right behind the hotel and you can hear them go by (they start pretty early, too!) No problems if you're an early bird, though!
