More than just a beach visit

Yuigahama beach is suited to people who enjoy beach activities, families with children over two, dog walkers, sun lovers and those who like to chillax at the beach. It is easily accessible by train and while there is a car park nearby, it is quite expensive, so public transport is advised. The beach is quite large and relatively clean. There are beach huts on the beach offering shade, food, drink and even activities; such as the skateboard ramp near the lifeguard hut on the Yuigahama station side of the beach. This beach is popular with surfers, wind-surfers, walkers, families and young people too. You can do Stand-Up-Paddleboarding (SUP) too. There are two toilets; the ones near the Yuigahama station entrance have a few cubicles in both the mens and womens. There are showers here too. There is a smoking area in front of those toilets. And the lifeguards look out tower is here too. The beach gets very busy at weekends, but usually not until after 11 am. It is not too busy during the week. Access from Yuigahama Station on the Enoden line, or you can take a 16 minute to / from Kamakura station.
