Classy coffee shop

On Old Karuizawa Street, Mikado Coffee has been a rendezvous for visitors since the 1940s. The old wooden building has a shop on the first floor and a cozy cafe with a veranda on the second floor. On a weekday afternoon, my traveling companion and I had to wait for about 5 minutes to get a seat in the cafe upstairs. I had a mocha jelly and my companion a mocha float. We didn't feel rushed. The cafe has WIFI and takeout.
