The most expensive coffee of my life - but dare I say worth it?!
Midori cafe is situated inside the Adachi Museum of Art, so you’ll need to get museum admission to be able to enter. This is a pretty simple cafe that sticks mainly to beverages - coffees, teas, fruit juices - as well as seasonal ice cream in the warmer months. The first thing you’ll notice as you enter is the sign saying that every drink is 1000 yen. I don’t think I’ve ever paid that much for a single coffee in my life - but if you want a peaceful spot to enjoy the gardens from inside this is it. Depending on the time of day, the general museum sections with views out to the gardens can get a little crowded with people trying to snap a pic - so this can be a way of escaping the crowds and feeling like the gardens are just there for you. For the record, my caramel macchiato was delicious! Major credit cards are accepted.
