    Cold Brew and Cold Brews

Trunk coffee has made a name for itself across Japan. Possibly helped by its location being halfway between both the Kanto and Kansai coffee scenes, they've been very active about making the fact that they have good coffee well known. They had a stand in most of the Tokyo Coffee Festivals and had popped up on my Instagram plenty of times before I even knew they were a Nagoya cafe. Of course the real advantage to this location, besides the offer of beer, is the fact that they have their Cold Brew Nitro at this location. Nitro is still quite rare in Japan, and not even that common across the world, so it's definitely a worthwhile draw. On top of that, when I had gone, the option was for a single origin Nitro which is an even bigger rarity. Most cafes that do serve Nitro will only stick to blends, even Stumptown, where this trend was originally pushed hard. No matter what, Trunk Coffee is well worth your time. It's a cafe that makes a trip to Nagoya worthwhile and a place that those who live nearby will probably keep coming back to.
