Pub style restaurant
We were a large group of over 20 people of different ages and differing needs, arriving at different times and unintentionally quite a challenging group. Despite that, the staff were patient, courteous, friendly, professional and extremely efficient. We were there from early morning**, so they were very flexible with us and we could take our time and relax over our food and subsequent banter. Food is mainly pasta. You can get a set with salad, baguette and a drink. (**They had opened early the morning we were there, possibly due to the "I love Ireland" festival and St Paddy's parade that were happening nearby on the day) I am not sure what they were aiming for with the decoration, but to me it is reminiscent of many pubs in my home town. From the outside, which is painted beautifully, it looks like they own the whole building, but the restaurant is actually in the basement with a steep set of staircases. A few of us had strollers and thankfully they actually have a shed at first floor level where they stored our strollers for us.

Tasty, Japanese Italian pasta
Cafe La Bohéme in Kita-Aoyama is a good respite from the busy Aoyama and Omotesando shopping streets. The food is consistently good - pasta and pizza lunch sets on weekends include crusty bread, a salad, and your choice of pasta and drink. For some dishes, sides and options are offered. I had carbonara with a side of mentaiko. The flavor combination is great. For a few hundred yen more, I had a glass of white wine with my lunch. The servers speak both Japanese and English, and I suspect a few other languages, too. They were polite and clear. The
