Heikeyuba - great Yuba Restaurant
Nikko is well know for its very delicous tofu skin (Yuba). There are many Yuba restaurants in that area, which makes it very difficult to decide. If you are in the Yunishigawa area 平家ゆば just in front of the open air museum might be the perfect place for you. The restaurants has only a few seets and the store itself looks a little bit old, but the food is great. They have diffrent udon or soba sets with fried vegetable/fish or diffrent kinds of side dishes. I recommend the udon yuba set, which comes with yuba sashimi, udonsoup full of yuba and fried yuba. The amount of youba is very great. Prices are from 600-1500 Yen. The stuff is very friendly and gives you a feeling of beeing part of their family.
