Modern and ancient temple
Photogenic Zojoji, a modern reconstruction of the Kanto region's Jodo Shinshu headquarters is worth a look inside the gate. I recommend the approach from Hamamatsucho Station as you see some gates, street furniture, and a section of Shiba Park as you walk along the sando street. I have a soft spot for the trees planted by visiting US presidents. The Himalayan cedar just inside Sangedatsumon (the oldest wooden building in Tokyo) has spreading branches that shade the path to the temple. If you time your visit for sunset, you can catch the tolling of the Daibonsho bell.

Photogenic mix of tradition and modernity
You may have already seen Zojoji Temple, as it's often captured with pictures of Tokyo Tower in the background because of the proximity the two destinations share. I had an appointment in the region so headed there to kill some time, and I thought it was such a beautiful destination. Early in the morning meant that the temple grounds were almost empty, allowing it to be a place for quiet reflection and enjoying the scenery and views. Admission to the temple grounds is free, so it's also nice if you're looking for something to do on a budget. Worth a visit.
