Totoro Cream Puffs too cute to eat!
In a quite neighborhood in Tokyo's Setagaya-ku there is a small café and bakery which serves some sweets that will be a highlight for all fans of the Ghibli movie "My Neighbor Totoro". As the name says, at the Shirohige Cream Puff Factory you can buy cream puff - in the shape of Totoro! In total they have eight different fillings, however, depending on the season there are only four available. An overview about this you can get on their website. The Totoros have different accessoiries to differ which filling is inside. Outside they are slightly crunchy, inside you find the yummy cream which is not too sweet, but just right in taste in my opinion. Each cream puff costs between 400 and 440 yen. Because the small Totoros are very popular, especially on weekends, they are sold out very quickly. If you definately want to get them, go there early or make a reservation via phone. The bakery is opened from 10:30 to 19:00 every day expect Tuesday (if Tuesday is a public holiday the next day is closed). At the second floor they have a café there they also serve other dishes.
