Donguri Republic sells Studio Ghibli goods and souvenirs. They have goods from the majority of the Ghibli movies, but a high concentration of Totoro and No Face products. It is located on the main tourist strip of Kawagoe, "Ichibangai". The shop itself is really picturesque, housed in one of Kawagoe's many old buildings. There is a fake Totoro bus stop outside with a large Totoro beside it. Inside there is a fake tree with branches stretching out over the shop. The staff are friendly and don't mind you taking pictures. There is a broad range of goods from small items like key rings, phone straps and chopsticks to large items such as giant Totoro teddy bears and blankets. They have some clothes, but not many and it is mainly novelty Ghibli t-shirts. There are items for the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom as well as collectible items and trinkets. The shop is open from 10 am to 5.30 pm seven days a week. No official parking. Close to a bus stop.
