Delicious eats at this branch of the famous chain

Din Tai Fung is a chain of restaurants that started out in Taiwan - and now have branches of the chain scattered all around the world, from the USA to Australia and more. There are also several locations in Japan. I first tried Din Tai Fung myself when I visited Hong Kong a few years ago, so I was delighted when I lived in Tokyo that there was one nearby! For me the best menu item are the soup dumplings - I love that you get the best of both worlds. Some soup, that deliciously chewy dumpling wrapper and the meaty filling. They have a really refreshing and punchy cucumber salad that has some kind of spicy chilli dressing which I always like to get as an appetizer, and there are multiple noodle dishes, and different pork buns etc (similar to nikuman). All in all this is one of my favorite spots for a tasty dinner meal that feels like fancy cuisine with a relaxed vibe.
