A taste of Hawaii in Saitama

Japan seems to have a bit of an affinity with all things Hawaiian - there are many locations of the Kua Aina Burger chain for instance, as well as Hawaiian styled foods being on a lot of cafe menus. Another place that I enjoy and would recommend if you're craving some Hawaiian styled food is Kona's Coffee in Saitama. Firstly, the store decor is really cool - and there's quite a bit of space which is pleasant compared to some tiny eateries. They have a wide menu - despite being billed as a "pancake cafe" they serve plenty more than just pancakes - various burgers, garlic shrimp, loco moco and eggs benedict are just a few of the options available (if you're in a burger mood, the avocado burger is my recommendation!). As well as the food being tasty, it's always been served up fast when I've visited there, and the staff are friendly and accommodating.
