    Big Fluffy Omelette since 1879

La Mère Poulard is a French restaurant known for their big fluffy omelette, serving it since 1879 in Mont Saint-Michel, France. It is now a chain restaurant and has spread all over in the “Land of the Rising Sun.” Unfortunately, we didn’t try out their fluffy omelette because I was just not craving for it. I wanted to try out their steak with green sauce! We ordered: 1. Steak and Fries with Spinach Sauce (¥1,680) Fortunately , the sauce was delicious . It was creamy and I barely taste the spinach flavor. The meat was served cold though. It was NOT supposed to be cold but it was! It was kind of disappointing. It was not even warm at all. 2. Normandy Pork with Rice (¥1,650) The rice was, again, creamy and it was the one that STOOD OUT in our meal. The pork was good but they served it with THE WRONG SAUCE! We wanted to get it changed but we didn’t have much time. Note: What we ordered was a set meal so drinks (coffee or tea) and bread were included. For the steak set meal, it also has salad while the other meal has pumpkin soup. Verdict: The location we visited was inside a mall in Yokohama, hence expect a line-up. On the other hand, it’s near Minatomirai Station so if you are coming from that station, it’ll be easier for you. Regarding the food, it’s could be better. They should find a way to keep their food at least WARM.
