Maglev Exhibition Center
The Yamanashi prefectural Maglev Exhibition Center is the only exhibition center in Japan where you can see a maglev at a speed of 500 km / h. The maglev is just a test train, which is the fastest train in the world. In the exhibition rooms you can learn everything about the maglev train and also visit its interior. On the top floor there is also a beautiful model railway landscape with Mount Fuji in the background. Every few minutes the light changes between day and night. Simply beautiful and there is so much to discover. The best view of the train you have from one of the viewing platforms, but you have to watch out, as fast as the train rushes by and the draft is not to be underestimated. You can reach the exhibition center from Otsuki station by local bus (fare = 300 Yen). The admission fee is 420 Yen for adults and 200 Yen for children.
