Rosa Azul is a hairdressing salon based in Minamiuonuma, Niigata. There are 4 main staff members, but if you don’t speak Japanese I would highly recommend bringing clear pictures of what you want or even bringing someone along with you who speaks Japanese. They have plenty of magazines with current Japanese hairstyle trends in them, but there were many styles that I don’t think would work on me. I ended up picking a style that I thought would be okay - it’s not a horrible cut but probably has more layers and is more “thinned out” than I would have liked. I ultimately put that down to me being unable to be more articulate in describing what I wanted. The staff are friendly and patient though, and the premises is very modern and hip. They use predominantly Kerastase products which are designed for a range of hair types. No card payments - so be sure to have cash on you. They have a members point card system as well if you’re a regular.
