The Bureaucrats' Yoshinoya Offers a Decent Lunch in a Flash

Frankly, if you're going to Yoshinoya, your expectations should probably be pretty measured. You should expect a satisfactory beef bowl served quickly, and maybe with a few decent sides. The real measure of value in any Yoshinoya, especially in major city centers, is how efficiently you can enjoy your lunch, especially when you're in a rush to get somewhere or have limited time for the meal. Out of all the Yoshinoyas I have visited, the Toranomon store is by far the most efficient. In a pinch, I once arrived when every seat was full, but managed to grab a vacant spot, order, eat, and pay in less than 5 minutes. Seriously, I timed it: 4 minutes and 38 seconds. The food was hot and prepared well (rice was not too soggy with sauce), and the staff was courteous in spite of the hectic lunch rush. I definitely recommend this Yoshinoya if you are in Tokyo's civic center and in need of a quick and satisfying meal between meetings.
