Futtsu Misaki Park - a great view to Mt. Fuji

The Futtsu Misaki Park was an old weapon base of the Japanese army. Now it has been converted into a park. An old tower and other relics were embedded in a beautiful green park. I liked the most the two bridges in the park, which had a wonderful charm. The park also houses many different kinds of birds and ducks, which are very used to human. You will have a god chance to get very close to them. At the end of the park is the Cape Futtsu. Surrounded by the ocean is a very interesting viewing plattform. Many different stairs led up to a 10 meter high plattform. From there you have a perfect view of Mount Fuji and the Aqualine , but only if you have good weather. Close by is also a beach, which is often used by surfer, because of the high waves, but it can get also very dangerous if the wind is too strong. If you don´t like to swim in salt water, you can go to the water paradise “Futtsukoensuieijookugai Jumbo Pool, which is also in the park. The main attractions of the water park are many different types of sliders. Unfortunately the pool is only open from the end of July to the beginning of September (same like the beach season), which is kind of short for me.
