All you can eat shabu-shabu

We went for the all you can eat pork and beef shabu-shabu lunch. After choosing the meal and broth (standard kombu on one side of the divided pot) from four choices, we were given four 'plates' or boxes of thinly sliced meat. We can call the servers at any time to ask for more and it's already prepared, so it just takes a few seconds for them to bring it from a fridge. Vegetables are cut and customers can take whatever they like. With the veggies, there are chicken meatballs, tofu, chanpon and udon noodles. The standard meal doesn't include drinks or dessert, but does come with self serve oolong tea. For an extra fee, we can get drink bar and soft serve ice cream as well. We kept busy enough without those. There is a 70 minute time limit, so we went to town on our shabu-shabu, using the sweet sesame dipping sauce. We went through 16 boxes of meat and multiple plates of veggies. It was tasty but the time limit gave us a rushed feeling so we couldn't enjoy ourselves as much. It was more than enough time to become full. The seating for two people felt a little crowded as the table was narrow and small compared with all the condiments and plates piled up around the electric stove in the center. I didn't get a chance to see any of the bigger tables but they might be more roomy. Menu is in English only, but has pictures. The price for lunch came in at right under 1700 yen including tax, but there's a pork only option for less. The beef we ordered is imported although there are more expensive options with wagyu.
